About Celebrity In Death:
Lieutenant Eve Dallas is no party girl, but she's managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating "The Icove Agenda," a film based on one of her famous cases. It's a little spooky seeing the actress playing her, who looks almost like her long-lost twin. Not as unsettling, though, as seeing the actress who plays Peabody drowned in the lap pool on the roof of the director's luxury building. Now she's at the center of a crime scene-and Eve is more than ready to get out of her high heels and strap on her holster and step into the role she was born to play: cop.Source: Info in the About Celebrity In Death was taken from GoodReads at http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13007638-celebrity-in-death on 17/08/2012.
Review:
I was a bit disappointed with the last installment of this series, but in this book JD Robb seems to be back in her game... But being Book 34 in a series, I have already said most of what I can say about this book in my reviews of previous books. What is different with this one is the story line. JD Robb had never explored the "movie-making of their own story" angle before even though there were hints in previous books. It makes a nice change from the often recycled themes like dirty cops and incest issues. Even though this is Book 34, this series hasn't waned on me yet. In fact, I am a die-hard fan as ever. That tells us the strength of the story telling quality of this author to have such a staying power where most serieses would have fizzled out by now. Yet this book is still another wonderful installment in the Lt. Eve Dallas saga and can't wait to get my hands on Delusion in Death (Book 35)!
