U.S. Senator Lindsay Micha had been kidnapped and replaced with a “dead” ringer, the sister to Lilith Cavanaugh, the Queen of the Dead. Now Will Ritter must go undercover in our nation’s capital to ferret out the truth and try to stop this ambitious deader. But his mission becomes even more dangerous when he learns of a mysterious ten-legged monster that prowls the halls of the Capitol Building — a lethal monster with a taste for Corpse flesh.
Can such an alien “enemy of his enemy” truly become Will’s friend?

Excerpt:
Ahead, Blue Blazer Girl picked up speed. She was fast, and that gave me a flicker of hope. If the three of us could squeak through before — Then more Corpses appeared at the far end of the block, spilling into the narrow street like sand pouring into a funnel.
We’re dead.
Seeing them, Blue Blazer Girl changed direction, making a beeline for a head-high brick platform that stood against the right-hand wall, supporting an air conditioner. Bounding upward, she caught the platform’s edge with the tip of her left shoe.
But instead of climbing atop the air conditioner, her right foot connected with the appliance’s thin, metal surface just long enough to redistribute her body weight—backward. Then, before our eyes, she executed this crazy leap, riding her own momentum through a long arc that carried her clear to the other side of the narrow street. At the last moment, she somehow twisted in mid-air and grabbed a protruding window box that formed part of the opposite building, latching onto it with her hands and the balls of her feet. There she hung for a half second before launching upward again—this time from the top of the lower window to the ledge of the upper.
Bending her knees like coiled springs, she kicked up and back, vaulting across the street a second time and somehow catching the lip of the roof with one hand. Then, again using her own momentum, she swung up and over the rooftop, disappearing from sight.
Helene and I stood frozen, our mouths hanging open.
Ahead and behind us, the hoard stood frozen, their mouths hanging open, too.
Then Blue Blazer Girl’s face appeared over the edge of the roof. “Come on!”
“She’s freakin’ Spider-man,” I said.

Meet The Author
About Ty:
I'm a twice (soon to be THRICE) published novelist who makes his home in Southern New Jersey with my beloved wife and son. I also have a beautiful daughter, but she makes her home elsewhere these days (sniff!).
My short fiction has appeared in SPACE AND TIME MAGAZINE, HAUNTS, AFTER HOURS, PANDORA, MIDNIGHT ZOO, PLANET MAGAZINE and AMAZON SHORTS. Another story snapped up the Grand Masters spot in a Fortress Publishing anthology titled "Yesterday, I will." I've also published articles on the craft and business of writing, in such venues as WRITERS DIGEST.
Sounds halfway impressive, doesn't it? Well, I wish I could tell you that I write for a living. Sadly, I don't; at least - not yet. I'm actually a business analyst for a large pharmaceutical company. What's a business analyst you ask? Sorry. Not a clue.
Writing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I've authored no less than a dozen novels and scores of short stories. Most of these have found homes as bound manuscripts on my office bookshelf, waiting for their moment in the sun. That's the way it is for most authors, I'm afraid.
