Excerpt:
I stand up slowly and begin to fight what I’m about to do. I beg myself to sit down, look away, anything, but instead I trail up to her. She doesn’t flinch, doesn’t shudder; strangely, her eyes stay locked onto mine. I take the extra towel from her and draw her body to mine. I hear her left out a small gasp, and I can tell her heart rate has quickened. I bring a hand to her face, letting it trail from her cheek to her neck, all the way to the back of her head. I pull her in for a kiss. A proper one. That feeling I felt before returns as something inside me nearly loses control. My legs begin to feel weak as I realize that she’s kissing me back. It’s as soon as my tongue flickers over hers that I really feel I may lose it. I pull away for a moment and close my eyes.

“This is how it’s supposed to be,” I mumble to her. I work to keep myself under control, I remind myself to keep a slower pace, not to rush. I catch a sudden wave of Red’s feelings…the want and need is there, and it makes it more difficult to control myself. I try to relax, remind myself to pace myself but when Red pushes her body into mine,

I fully lose any control that I had. Her arms fly around my neck and I do nothing to stop her. Her lips find mine as her hands reach for my belt buckle. She wastes no time in unbuckling and unzipping my jeans. I reach for the last towel and yank it from her body as she pulls my tee shirt off and throws it across the room. She wraps her arms around me again and lets her lips find mine as I wrap my arms around her, lifting her in one swift movement. Her legs immediately cinch around my waist and I steady myself quickly as I push her against the nearest wall.

She moans loudly and I feel her nails dig into my back briefly. I begin biting tenderly down her neck in a way that leaves tiny little marks but enough to make her groan with pleasure. I feel all self-control leave my body as I steady her against the wall and begin using my strength to lift her upwards as I move my mouth down her body. I feel her hands tug at my hair as I clamp my teeth down on one of her nipples.

She releases another moan and I feel her breathing become choppy as I work my way down her core; kissing, biting, licking, and unable to control myself. I finally find myself in a squat position, I quickly adjust Red’s over my shoulders and I feel her shake. Everything in me wants to have her, every single piece of her right this minute. I need her. Not to just satisfy the raw animal craving that his built up inside me, but because I need every piece of the one thing that I ever wanted and needed so badly.

I slow my kisses past her belly button and move to her inner thighs. I look up at her and her eyes catch my gaze. She’s breathing heavily, her legs begin to tremble more as I steady her against the wall as I drop to my knees to maintain my own balance. When my mouth finally latches to her, letting my tongue do the work for me, she releases a noise filled with such intense pleasure that there’s no going back. I need her even more now.

Excerpt:
She leaned close to avoid being heard by all the sensitive ears in the room. “We’re out of the literal and metaphorical woods. You can get blood from anyone. I thought drinking human blood was, like, worse than licking bat guano off a wizard’s shoe.”

The softness of his laugh shimmied straight down her spine. Dear merciful Lord. “I don’t claim to understand.” His lips feathered against her ear. “In the cave, the pain abated when I drank from you.” He pushed closer, his breath soft and hot. “Nothing has eased it in a long time. No one. Whatever this… problem… is, drinking from you eased the pain. It’s the one thing I know for certain."

Oh, hell. Only her blood? Talk about making a gal melt in the weirdest way possible. She wanted to be all snarky and make him beg or apologize or something, but fuckballs, that was the most beautiful thing ever. Besides, she wanted to ease his hurt more than she wanted to get even.

Alexia glanced around and pulled him into an empty room next to the nurse’s station. To be safe, she locked the door and pulled the curtain thingy. Two comfy chairs sat by the hospital bed. She tugged one close and offered her wrist. It seemed the fastest way, and this was urgent.

The strike of his fangs hardly surprised her this time. Much like a tattoo or a piercing, you got used to the pinch. Isabel had drunk from her a few times when they’d first become friends, but that had been different. That hadn’t been a two-hundred-and-whatever-pound vampire male in a desperate amount of pain.

Oh, holy… Wow.

The relief was amazing. Fireworks and dynamite. The pressure flowed out of her along with the blood. What rushed in to take its place, though, was a disturbing sense of rightness. In giving herself to him in a way she had never wanted to give to anyone. Somehow her other arm wound around his neck, and either he didn’t notice or he didn’t actually mind. It’s just the blood, like he said before.

But then his fingers crept into her hair. Her body slid down into the large, comfy chair. Lee pressed closer, on his knees now in front of her, her arm held aloft by his efforts as he lapped at her wrist. His tongue trailed down her arm to catch a wayward drip. On his knees with his long legs, Lee’s pelvis pressed against hers through their pants, his erection hard and thick and throwing off heat.

Alexia couldn't stop herself from wrapping her legs around his waist and bringing him closer. Her hand grasped his free arm, which had moved from the chair to her leg. Their fingers laced together.

Lee’s groan vibrated against her wrist.

A knock sounded at the door.

HIS MISTRESS Blog Tour & Giveaway

HIS MISTRESS Blog Tour & Giveaway

The Book

His Mistress by Monica Burns
Genre: historical erotica

About His Mistress:
As a solicitor seeking justice for victims of violence, Tobias Lynsted must maintain control at all times while working in the seedy underworld of London’s East End. The darkness of his world creates a need for the intimacy and release he can only find in the forbidden pleasure of submission. The kind of pleasure where a powerful man has the freedom to let go of his control for a few sweet moments of oblivion. But when a blackmail scheme forces him to marry, the last thing he expects in a wife is a woman who will satisfy the darker side of his nature.

Lady Jane Grisham has no desire to marry, but choosing marriage over a life of destitution is an easy choice to make. Although Jane knows love is for the foolish, Tobias awakens her most wicked and darkest of desires. In the sinful world of domination and submission, Jane uses her blossoming skills to make Tobias surrender not only his body but his secrets. But she quickly discovers that the true test of her strength is trusting Tobias with her heart.
Source: Info in the About His Mistress was from the press kit from the publicity team.

Excerpt:
Free for the moment to watch her without the possibility of penalty, Tobias studied her as one might a work of art. His gaze swept downward to the curve of her waist and where her skirt billowed outward. Her dark hair brushed against her back like brown silk. The lust she’d drawn from his body only a moment ago took hold of him once more as he contemplated the temptation hidden beneath her wide skirts. In his mind’s eye, he knew exactly how he would pleasure her.

He’d make her cry out just like he had, and then he’d do it again until they were both satiated. As he saw her about to turn toward her, he quickly dropped his head knowing by looking at her he was defying her orders. He wanted to please her, not make her unhappy.

“My Lady,” he rasped. “I am grateful for your attention to my needs.”

“It gave me a great deal of pleasure to take care of you, Tobias.” she said softly as she returned to his side. “And despite that small tear, you even managed to avoid breaking your restraints. It demonstrates the extent of your self-control.”

There was an undefinable emotion in her voice that made him think she regretted not allowing him to bed her. Once more images of him filling her with his cock flooded his head. Almost immediately, he began to hardened. It would be only a minute or two before he’d be able to satisfy her as she’d satisfied him.

“Allow me to satisfy you as well, my Lady,” he said quiet confidence.

She didn’t respond to his request. Instead she turned away. Although his gaze remained downcast, he watched her bend down to pick up her jacket. Frustration blistered its way through him as he watched the burgundy waistcoat cover her beautiful breasts. One hand on her waist and the other at her throat, Tobias knew she was contemplating his offer. Even though he couldn’t see her face, he was certain she was frowning as she considered his words. The deep breath she drew in made his heart sink.

“I don’t think that’s possible.” Doubt riddled her words as she turned to face him. Long, beautiful fingers made short work of buttoning her jacket, and he sensed her uncertainty. It merely strengthened his desire to convince her to let him pleasure her.

“It is possible, my Lady.” Tobias’s body tightened with desire, his cock already halfway to becoming fully erect again. “Let me worship your body with my hands and mouth. Let me satisfy you as no other man has done before.”

“A bold promise.” There was a hint of breathlessness in her voice, but laughter as well. Tobias chafed at her amusement.

“You’ve asked me not to lie to you, my Lady. I am not lying when I say that I know how to pleasure you.” His harsh response caused silence to stretch between them for a long moment.

“I want more than the promise of pleasure, Tobias,” she said in a voice that had lost all trace of amusement. “I want complete submission.” An icy finger scraped down Tobias’s spine, and the ground shifted beneath his feet as he considered her words. In the past, he’d heard similar words from the Ladies he’d sought his release with. But Mystère’s words held a far deeper meaning than any Lady he’d ever submitted to before. Fear twisted and knotted his gut until he no longer felt the pain in his arms.

She was asking for a part of him he’d never shared with anyone, and he had no intention of doing so now. When he didn’t answer, Mystère closed the distance between them. Her touch gentle, she undid his lace straps then gently pulled his arms downward until his bound hands hung loosely in front of him. The fingers that had gripped him moments ago made short work of the silk tie wrapped around his wrists.

“You may remove the restraints from your legs and dress, Tobias,” she said quietly as she turned away.

It was a signal their play had ended for the evening.

WOLF IN GUCCI LOAFERS by Tara Lain Blog Tour & Giveaway

Where Did the Wolf Title Come From?
One of the first things people say to me when they hear about my new book, Wolf in Gucci Loafers, is “I love the title”. Thank you! That’s one of the best compliments because I love creating titles and that creation is often an important part of my writing process. Maybe it’s because my day job is in advertising. Through my whole career, I’ve had to create headlines and they always come before the copy in the ad. The headline is the “essence” of the message. It has to grab you and suggest something special about the product or service it’s promoting. In many ways, like the title of a book. Whether or not that’s the reason, the fact is that I almost always create the title of my books before I write them, the title guides my story development, and the title seldom changes unless the story changes dramatically.

For example, back in 2011, my first year writing, I penned a little story about an art gallery owner who falls for a hunky Australian volleyball player -- or two. I had a title in mind -- David and Goliath -- but it wasn’t working. I changed it to -- yes, you guessed it -- Volley Balls. People liked the title, so when I decided to write another book in the series about David’s best friend, Rodney, I thought about titles. Rodney is a little fireball of a guy. Bingo. I would call the book Fire Balls and Rodney’s lover would be a firefighter. Literally, the title decided the profession of the hero. Since then, the “Balls” books have become very popular and people write me to suggest titles ending in Balls!

Wolf in Gucci Loafers follows a book called The Pack or the Panther. That book, my first werewolf romance, is about a sincere, young werewolf who meets a snarky, independent panther shifter who hates groups -- and packs. My hero has to choose -- The Pack or the Panther! That title leaped out at me as soon as I had a very basic idea of the story. In that book, I introduced a very popular character who is half werewolf and half human. He’s a wealthy socialite who is quite flamboyant while at the same time being a real hidden alpha male. His name is Lindsey and he’s a mass of sexy contradictions which entices my tough cop on the motorcycle. Lindsey is powerful and aggressive, but to the world he pretends to be a drawing room comedy -- just a Wolf in Gucci Loafers. I hope you enjoy my Wolf -- from his title to his purple shoes!

The Book

Wolf In Gucci Loafers by Tara Lain
Book 2 of the Tales Of The Harker Pack series
Genre: PNR (LGBT)

About The Wolf In Gucci Loafers:
Socialite Lindsey Vanessen wants someone to love who will love him back — an impossibility for a gay, half-human, half-werewolf. Too aggressive for humans, too gay for wolves, and needing to protect the pack from human discovery, Lindsey tries to content himself with life as a successful businessman. But when someone starts kidnapping members of wealthy families, Lindsey meets tough cop Seth Zakowsy — the hunky embodiment of everything Lindsey wants but can't have.

Seth has never been attracted to flamboyant men. What would the guys in the department think of Lindsey? But intrigue turns to lust when he discovers Lindsey’s biting, snarling passion more than matches his dominant side. It might mean a chance at love for a cop in black leather and a wolf in Gucci loafers.

Excerpt:
Lindsey came up beside him. “So, let me look at you.” The guy stood back and regarded Seth up and down like a piece of prime beef. “Yes, well, lovely, but maybe a little casual for the occasion. I know it sounds like an athletic event, but really it’s more”—he waved a hand gracefully—“shall we say, social?” He walked around Seth, making a “hmmm” sound.

“Look, I don’t care about the social niceties. I just want to catch a fucking kidnapper.”

“Ah yes, yes, but we catch more flies with—Armani.” He laughed. “Come with me.”

It wasn’t a trial to follow that butt.

Lindsey threw open a door, and Seth walked in behind him. “Holy shit.”

Lindsey turned and placed a hand on his chest. “Yes, dear, I know. Decadent. It may be the sign of a devolving civilization, but this is my closet.”

This was a room his family home could fit in twice. “Department stores don’t have this many clothes.”

“Dear, dear. We never shop at department stores.” He waved a hand down his body. “Obviously, nothing that fits me is going to fit you.” He touched the epaulet on the leather jacket. “Those shoulders. Oh my.” He sighed. “Anyway, I happen to have a blazer that was delivered to me in the wrong size. My guess is that it’s divine plan, because I think it will fit you perfectly.” He walked to the racks of clothing and pulled out a deep-green blazer.

Seth touched the material. Butter. Shit, not his style. He shook his head. “I don’t need this. Thanks, though.”

Lindsey hooked the jacket on a display hanger and crossed his arms. “Listen, dear. You asked me to take you to this event. I’m also very interested in you capturing these horrible people. After all, their victims are my friends. So do this my way.” He pointed at the coat. “That jacket cost half your annual salary. No one is going to smell cop when I get through with you. They’ll talk to you because you’re a friend of mine and that’s all they need to know. Understand?”

Seth frowned. “What do I say when they ask what I do?”

“You work for the government in a classified capacity. End of story. You could tell them, but—”

“I’d have to kill them.” He cracked half a grin. “That’s pretty ingenious.”

“But of course.”

Excerpt:
“Maybe you shouldn’t kiss strangers…” His words came out as a growl. “That’s a real bad habit, princess.”

She nodded, but then said, “Desperate times can call for desperate actions.”

Those sure weren’t the words he’d expected. He leaned toward her.

“You’re Drake Archer.”

“Guilty.” He’d confessed to owning the casino, so her knowing his identity wasn’t exactly a huge surprise. He’d made headlines in the Vegas press when he opened the Archer’s Arrow Casino a month before. He owned four other casinos, but three of them were in Biloxi, Mississippi, and his biggest place was in New Orleans.

He was already jonesing for a trip back to the Big Easy. That place had become home for him.

And I’ll be heading home very soon.

She smiled up at him. Her smile took him off-guard because he hadn’t anticipated the woman’s dimples. Cute, curving dimples that winked on either side of her mouth.

The lady was sexy. She had deep, dark bedroom eyes. Curves that made him hard.

And…a damn cute smile.

“Thanks for being my hero tonight, Drake Archer.”

He had to laugh at that. “Trust me, I’m not exactly hero material.” He was more used to playing the villain of the piece.
