THE KNIGHTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS Book Blast & Giveaway

The Book

The Knights Before Christmas by Joan Holub
Illustrated by Scott Magoon
Genre: kid lit

About The Knights Before Christmas:
Twas December 24th, and three brave knights were just settling in for the night when out on the drawbridge, there arose such a clatter! The knights try everything to get rid of this unknown invader (Santa Claus!), a red and white knight with a fleet of dragons . . .

But nothing would stop their white-whiskered foe. No matter their efforts, he just would not go!

This parody of Clement Clarke Moore's well-known poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas is kid-friendly, clever, and just plain silly. Sure to become a holiday classic of a different kind!

Meet The Illustrator

About Scott Magoon:
As a native New Englandah, I've been writing and illustrating books for young readers since 2007. You may also know that I have designed and art directed books for children since 2003 formerly for Candlewick Press and for Houghton Mifflin.

Why do I make books? Simply put, I love putting words and pictures together for kids. I was a young reader myself in the 1970s, which is, frustratingly, longer ago each time I recollect it! I like to remind myself what it was like to experience books as a child and so I read to my two young sons and to students during my school visits.

I sincerely hope you enjoy my books. Please drop me a line, I'd love to hear from you. And remember, as Gene Weingarten once said, “always try to put the funniest word at the end of your sentence underpants.”
