Final Say:
Fans of the In Death series by JD Robb will love this show!

My Thoughts:
Season 1 was good. It was like the In Death series by JD Robb that I could watch while waiting for the next In Death book to come out. Season 2 was more of the same. With a bit more annoying intro. It gave the show a superficial feel which a crime fiction do not carry well. Though I understand the "flighty" effect was in line with the playboy character of Richard Castle. But like I said, crime fiction does not carry fligthiness well for obvious reasons. Murder is a serious business. Thank goodness they ditched that too jazzy intro right about the third disc into the 3rd Season. Now this is also where it starts to get interesting. This is where the romantic angle between Richard Castle and Detective Kate Beckett starts to really heat up. And everybody else gets a love interest as well. And the fact that Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic kiss more convincingly than David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel.

Empirical Evaluation:
Cinematography = 4.5
Script/Story Itself = 4
Season Finale = 3
World building = 5
Attention To Detail = 4
Plot = 4
Acting = 4.5

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 cherries

Fans of the In Death series by JD Robb will love this show!

My Thoughts:
The acting is good. The cinematography is good. Tell me what is not to like about this show? The only reason that this show is a 4.5 and not a 5 out of 5 is because I just came off 7 seasons of Bones and is seriously crushing on Special Agent Seeley Booth! And the way I'm feeling now, nothing but nothing, can compare to Agent Booth! Give me time and it'll fade, but for now, this show is a 4.5...

This show reminds me very strongly of the In Death series by JD Robb. So much so that sometimes the show is giving me a feeling of deja vu because I find that some of the scenes were like "cut-and-pasted" from an In Death series book... And I also happen to be a die-hard fan of the In Death series. Now I sometimes get these two mixed up in my head. Plus the fact that Stana Katic fits the description of Lt. Eve Dallas to the T. But I am not really a crime fiction fan. I am more of an urban fantasy kind of girl, so I resisted picking this series up for a long time. However, I eventually ran out of serieses to watch while waiting for the next season's dvd box set of my favourite show to become available in the market, so I bought this dvd box set. And I'm glad I did! Other than the fact that I really enjoyed watching the show, it also gave me something to watch while waiting for the next In Death book to get released.
