Our future is in the hands of science, and that science is often wielded by powerful men who have no right to it, but possess the funds to acquire it.
It would be wonderful to be able to see into the future, to find out what will become of our race in a hundred or even a thousand years. The temptation to do so would be almost overwhelming, both in terms of curiosity and also philanthropically – if the future is a disaster for humankind, could we change something in the here and now to prevent that...

because I said "yes" before reading the synopsis. Then when I did read the synopsis, my first thought was, "Another run-of-the-mill werewolf..." But, I was pleasantly surprised!

) You have to give the author a lot of kudos for making me like the book quickly despite my apprehension at the start. However the story felt like it's lacking a more substantial structure. It read like a first chapter of a bigger book... which I suppose it is...
I say this is a very good start to a promising series!

!! That is one logic flaw in the world building which I chose to ignore while reading this series. However, it is starting to nag me now. I like it better if the world building does not have gaping flaws staring right back at me like that. And another thing, it is also starting to read like same old, same old. I love the world of the Paladins, mind, just wish that this book didn't have the feel of "same old, same old" kinda thing. And I sure do like the man-candy on the cover
